” She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”
God has been placing the calling that He has for my life since I was little yet I never understood what exactly it was. He laid on my heart that my calling was children although the more I prayed about it, the more I realized that it would not be church ministry, it would come to be a calling as a teacher.
When I tell people that I have been called to be a teacher, they don’t understand that everything can be a ministry. Throughout my school days, I had teachers that would pour out on me whether it was spiritual or educational. My favorite teacher was one of my high school teachers. She taught me the lessons that nobody else took the time to teach me. She impacted me throughout my entire high school career as she taught me how to write a resume, how to fill out a job application, as well as the home economics class things that she taught us as a part of the curriculum.
My thought as I am pursuing a career as an educator is that I want to make the impact in a child’s life that she did for me. I believe that children are the next generation so why not train them up not just to be educators, business men and women, future ministers, and engineers, but also to be warriors that are ready for the battle.
